SplendidCRM solutions for open-source use, has entered the cloud with its release of SplendidCRM 4.0 Community Edition. This release has been specifically updated to run in Microsoft's Windows Azure Platform (http://www.microsoft.com/azure/). SplendidCRM can be installed to run just the database in SQL Azure, with the web application running locally, or to run the database in SQL Azure and the web application in Windows Azure. SplendidCRM continues to evolve with the incorporation of the Silverlight 3 Toolkit to replace the previous flash-based and hand-made charts. “We continue to pioneer the use of XAML-only graphics as a means to promote rapid application development”, noted Paul Rony, President and Founder of SplendidCRM. “Implementation of a dashlets model will allow each user to customize their home page experience with the new Silverlight charts.”
